Former Cubs star Ben Zobrist’s estranged wife spent $ 30,000 of his money on a drunken retirement party for her married pastor lover, according to new court records.
It is also alleged that Julianna Zobrist danced drunk on the pastor during the event and embarrassed the sports star in front of her church.

The ex-MLB player has claimed the party was the “genesis” of his split from Ms. Julianna, although he didn’t know she and the pastor were having an affair at the time.
Julianna reportedly hosted the event at Ben’s farm in December 2018 and used her bank account to hold celebrations for Byron Yawn, her former marriage counselor.
According to a pre-trial divorce case next month, Julianna used the farm accounts to fund the party knowing Ben wasn’t checking them regularly.
“The one-night party cost nearly $ 30,000 and was held at the Zobrist Farm,” the Chicago Tribune said in the filing.
“Ms. Zobrist paid for the party from the ‘farm account’ that her husband would not normally check, apparently to keep the cost of the party unknown to him.”
‘VERY EMBARRASSING’
The file also claims that Julianna and Pastor Yawn “were both intoxicated and dancing at each other in a provocative manner, which Ben Zobrist was very embarrassed about, especially in front of her close church friends.”
“The woman took offense that her husband had reprimanded her privately after the party for behaving this way in public,” it continues.
“However, the woman, unknown to the husband, was already ‘in love’ with Pastor Gawn.”

Julianna Zobrist has admitted to having an affair with Yawn.
But she has hit Ben back during the divorce proceedings, accusing him of “guilty of failing to preserve the marital property” while pushing for more money to come out of the settlement.
The Christian singer is demanding $ 4 million in compensation for his decision to take leave of the Cubs after learning of the affair.
Julianna also wants half of the couple’s fortune and full custody of their three children.
The former baseball player wants joint custody of the children and their fortune split between 60-40.
USED BURNER TELEPHONES
Ben received only a third of his salary for the 2019 season after choosing to take a break to work on her marital problems.
According to documents from The Peoria Journal Star’s lawsuit, Julianna began speaking to the Community Bible Church pastor in 2018 and the relationship became sexual two years later.
She reportedly used burner phones to communicate with Yawn, who were first discovered by his current ex-wife, Robin.
Ben took a leave of absence from the Cubs after Robin informed him of the affair in June 2019.
At the time, he thought it was an emotional relationship and only later found out that it was sexual.
However, this week’s filing alleges that Julianna “persuaded her husband to return to the Chicago Cubs in late summer and fall of 2019, where he earned an additional $ 4 million.”
Mrs. Zobrist … caused him such extreme psychological stress and difficulties, which meant that he could not end his long and very successful career as he had hoped and planned.
Julianna Zobrist’s lawyer
Julianna beat back the allegations when she argued that because of the vacation, Ben “essentially moved from the top of his game to giving up, causing a massive loss of income”.
In pre-trial papers received from the Chicago Tribune, Julianna’s attorney stated, “In 2019 he[Ben] had a contract with the Chicago Cubs for ($ 12 million) but since he only played 2 months his salary was prorated and he only earned ($ 4.5 million) of the ($ 12 million) that he could have earned. “
Ben’s lawyer replied, branding the request “completely absurd”.
“Instead of accepting the guilt for tearing her husband’s heart out by having an affair with their pastor, she expected him to focus entirely on an elite sports job that required (100%) his physical and mental energy “, the answer states.
“‘It is Mrs. Zobrist who had the extramarital affair and who confessed to her husband and did not reveal the true extent of her affair, which caused him such extreme psychological stress and difficulties that he was unable to live his long and very successful time end career the way he hoped and planned. “
Julianna also claims in the pre-trial documents that she was forced to “administer” [her] Behavior of his husband “because of his struggles with depression, anxiety, and thoughts of suicide.
She argues that she supported Ben during his “often rigorous baseball schedule, many of the late-night games with all three children in tow.”
Zobrist sued yawning
Ben fires back Julianna over budgeting hundreds of thousands and paying more than $ 188,000 of the couple’s money just for clothes.
Zobrist has already filed a lawsuit against Yawn demanding $ 6 million from the Nashville pastor for his loss of wages due to the affair.
It is also alleged that the pastor defrauded his charity, Patriot Forward.
The lawsuit states that Yawn “usurped the role of ministerial advisor, violated and abused the trust entrusted to him by the plaintiff, violated his fiduciary duty to the plaintiff, and fraudulently used his advisor access to establish an inappropriate sexual relationship with the plaintiff Plaintiff enter into plaintiff’s wife. “
Ben accused Yawn and Julianna of trying to uncover the evidence of their affair.
In a previous lawsuit, Julianna admitted buying a burner phone to speak to Yawn in June 2019.
She “then threw the phone away in a New York City airport.”
The author also said on the file that she switched service providers who enabled her to “get rid of her cell phone, which contained the nude photos and text messages she sent to Yawn.”
Gawn has confirmed that he was dating Julianna.

“We’re in the middle of a lawsuit, so I can’t really comment on it here, but that’s what it boils down to.”
