One of the UK’s largest mobile operators has partnered with WeAre8 to give customers the ability to pay their monthly phone bills in exchange for a significant social impact for viewing promotional content from a number of well-known brands.
By watching a video and answering up to three short questions, EE customers can get up to 20p in their EE Up wallet, and a five percent donation is automatically given to charity.
Customers can choose to donate to charities that will help end food poverty and reverse climate change or pay off their monthly phone bill with the money they earn in their EE Up wallet.
EE mobile customers can sign up for WeAre8 via EE Up, a new platform in the My EE app that offers exclusive experiences, rewards, competitions and benefits.

And every time a customer engages with an EE brand video, a donation is made to Unicef as well.
EE is the only WeAre8 partner that offers users the ability to save money on their monthly bill and represents a unique change in the way the wireless operator helps their customers by providing tailored content to make money save and support a charity.
The partnership combines EE’s leading network in the UK with the power of WeAre8 technology, making it possible to solve global problems with millions of small actions.
After customers sign up, they receive a personalized link and can control the frequency and time of receiving branded videos via SMS, email, or both to make money and make a positive impact at a time that is convenient for them.
