For those rich enough to own a 53,000 rupee vacuum cleaner before the world gets blocked, the Dyson V11 is more of a domestic prisoner of war than those who had to dust and mop up the old-fashioned way. I am sure it is much more acceptable. The food was delicious, the time flew by, and I came out without a divorce. The Dyson V11 is the company’s top-of-the-line vacuum cleaner device and has already been tested. But that’s the newest little Dyson test: Omni Glide. Let me formulate your expectations early on in this text: if you’ve only used regular old vacuum cleaners for the past few years, this is still going to blow you away. If you already have V11, like me, not many.
Dyson Omni Glide vacuum cleaner
What is that?
Dyson makes the world famous handheld cordless vacuum cleaners that far exceed weight in terms of performance and flexibility. However, if you have to carry all of the weight with one hand, your V11 top shelf is still quite an arm workout. Your muscles give way long before the battery does. The company has significantly improved this with Omni Glide. Omniglide is a starting point in terms of form factor and weight. This is a slim, sleek device that looks like a traditional “stick” vacuum cleaner for cleaning floors. This is essentially the purpose. The hard floor gives corners and crevices, general dust and fabrics a certain flexibility.
How much weight do you save? It’s about a kilo, but it feels a lot more. Omniglide is much easier to use and can reach strange places above head level even when manipulating from the ground. There’s also a suitable toggle key that lets you leave the device on without holding the key, like the V11’s trigger-style keys. In summary, the weight, form factor and buttons are really groundbreaking here.
included supply
The box is much easier to use and contains multiple attachments such as omnidirectional soft rollers, mini power tools, grout / brush tool combinations, and countertop tools.
One of the first things Dyson PR officials mentioned when they offered Omniglide for review was that if you wanted to get the V11 back, you’d have to send someone to wrap it all up. Bottom. The V11 comes in a huge 3-foot box with a complex cardboard grid that can hold all myriad accessories. After deleting, there is no easy way to get everything back. Or not at all; I do not know. I bought a 22 liter plastic trash can from Ikea to put everything in. It doesn’t fit. Omniglide doesn’t have such a problem. The box is much easier to use and contains multiple attachments such as omnidirectional soft rollers, mini power tools, grout / brush tool combinations, and countertop tools. It turns out that only this accessory is used in the V11 model. The rest stays in a 3-foot box. This tool addition is perfect for the Rs 34,900 price tag that Dyson is charging from Omniglide. It goes without saying that it includes a wall-mountable charger and a very compact charging station. This makes the omni-glide storage and charging very manageable.
In use: Great for floors, but loses opportunities
Omniglide’s party trick is an electric soft roller head with two rollers that connects 360 degrees around an absorbent body. Guided tours around furniture, pets, carpets, and other otherwise awkward nooks and crannies are much easier. This is Dyson’s all-new form factor, and the company seems to have made it. The vacuum cleaner can be placed flat parallel to the floor and the castors can be lowered under the sofa or other furniture, also with other machines or Dyson’s own vacuum cleaners. It’s fun to use. This attachment actually completes the machine and uses mechanical efficiency to make up for the lack of raw power. It works? It works well on hard floors where dust and small debris are usually added. However, if you increase the level of difficulty just a little, the suction will look inadequate. Litter box? Keep checking it out and be ready to keep it.

When it comes to fabrics, V11 with an electric head delivers very good results. Carpets and pillows literally change color as dust is removed from the fibers and even the underside. The result is clear in a transparent bottle. Not that many in Omni Glide. The suction power is so low that you have to go through the same part of the carpet several times to make changes. It works, but it doesn’t work very well. You can see the bin is full, but only after a lot of work.
Other plastic attachments are fine, but again limited by the omni glider’s lack of raw power. The brush / gap tool can pull the cobweb, but there are few others. The brush significantly reduces suction power and is ideal for pressing the plastic nozzle directly onto the surface to remove the dust before it reaches the dust. Countertop tools work on dust-free surfaces.

Perhaps the worst thing about Omniglide is the missed opportunity in taking advantage of its low weight. It would have been the perfect car vacuum for the many cars that go through my hand. In order to clean all the dirt and gravel mats that accumulate in a short time, you unfortunately need the full power of the V11 and a bare plastic nozzle. At Omni Glide, gravel sits there and curses you, even if you cross the mat several times. I don’t have enough strength. Next to the power button is the “maximum” mode button, which makes things a little livelier, but still not enough to impress. In addition, the battery life of Omniglide is estimated at 20 minutes, which is only a few minutes in maximum mode.
The small compromise (among many) is the small 0.2 liter trash can from Omniglide. This means that the entire house is cleaned in several steps and the trash can has to be emptied several times. Fortunately, the entire bottle is detached from the vacuum body, which makes cleaning easier. Because of its small size, it also requires a brand new kit of accessories with a small diameter at the mouth of the attachment point. This means that you cannot use any other accessories with other Dyson vacuum cleaners. There are a lot of them.
Bottom line: Great for compulsive floor cleaners
As long as I’ve been using Omniglide, I’ve been impressed with its ease of use. I enjoyed moving around on the hard floor and using it several times a day to feel the cleanliness under my bare feet. And maybe it is the ideal way to use this device in dusty Indian conditions. Recommended for those with tile, wood, or vinyl floors, but not for those with carpets or fabrics.
I have a pet, a house on the first floor, and a lot of dust. Dyson V11 was a revelation of something like an invisible stain that could be removed from my room. The Omni Glide was as light as its wings and was a great relief, but it only stayed charged all the way to my floor. Everything else requires you roll the V11 around your arm and start working. At 34,900 rupees, it’s a one-trick pony. You can have an old, more powerful Dyson V8 model for a little more money.
