A Dublin-based IoT software company recently won a prestigious contract with the European Space Agency (ESA). This partnership is in line with Ireland’s National Space Strategy for Business, which aims to increase the number of “space active” businesses in Ireland to 85 today.

The contract won by Danalto called for the demonstration of the best low-infrastructure indoor positioning technologies that complement the global satellite navigation system. Danalto was the first to introduce a location solution using a new high frequency technology. During the 18-month contract, Danalto will research on-site technologies and build on existing solutions to improve indoor distance visibility. Once validated, this work will be able to support a wide variety of industries. The progress of this project is in line with Danalto’s progress plan for its next generation positioning solution, which will be launched for commercial use in 2022.
