Dior Golden Day (569) 5 Couleurs Couture Eyeshadow Palette ($ 62.00 for 0.24 oz.) Includes two matte and three shimmer shades. The shimmers varied from silky to glittery, so there were many texture differences between the five hues. The quality was decent, but the matte black was more rigid to work with, so whether it “works” depends on preference.

Golden day # 1 is a light copper with warm, orange undertones and a metallic finish. It had a shinier, more metallic finish than most of the brand’s shimmery eyeshadows. It had rich color coverage with a smooth, moderately dense texture that was applied evenly and blended well. It took a good eight hours before it visibly faded.

Aside from these shimmery shades, the formula was mixable, pigmented, easy to work with, and lasted for me an average of eight hours (without primer).

Golden day # 2
Golden day # 2 is a medium, dirty gold with subtle, warm undertones and a sparkling sheen. It had larger patches of gloss all over, but they were flatter which helped them stick better to the skin, although there was a slight precipitate when mixed and worn. It had a semi-opaque coverage that was better applied with a fingertip or a dampened brush. This shade stayed good for eight hours before visibly fading.

Golden day # 3 is a muted, medium pink with subtle, warm undertones and a cooler, pale pink pearl that gives it a satin finish. It had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation with a soft, slightly powdery texture that was easy to apply and easy to blend. It wore on well for seven and a half hours before it faded a little.

Golden day # 4 is a light-medium golden brown with warmer, more yellow undertones and a matte finish. The consistency was soft, smooth, and velvety so that while it had a touch of powder in the pan, it wasn’t prone to fallout or swerving too quickly. It had an opaque pigmentation that lasted well on me for eight hours.
