Davido pocketed nearly $ 300,000 after asking fans to send him money.
Sometimes if you want something, all you have to do is ask. World famous singer Davido did just that on Wednesday morning, asking his fans to send him money when they have enjoyed his music over the years. Since then, his backers have raised a number of donations in the past six hours, officially adding $ 300,000 to Davido than he was this morning.
The Nigerian musician shared his updated balance on Twitter every few minutes after asking fans to send him money. His goal was initially to reach 100 million naira, which is over $ 242,000. He said he needed the money to put out his Rolls-Royce and that he had met his target and exceeded that amount. He’s still walking too, telling people there is no end in sight and encouraging them to keep sending him money.

Davido’s fans were excited to connect with the singer and help him, but this has created a split among his base. Many have spoken up, claiming that Davido, whose net worth is said to be around $ 25 million according to Google, shouldn’t have gone to his fans for money because they earn significantly less than him.
