Calming circle

ColourPop Calming Circle Fresh Kiss Lip Crème ($ 8.00 for 0.24 oz.) Is a deeper peach with moderate, warm orange undertones and an off-white finish. It had an opaque color coverage in a single layer that was applied pretty evenly to my lips without emphasizing my lip texture, although something settled in my deeper lip lines. Fortunately, it was not noticed personally.

The texture was smooth, like a velvety cream with moderate glide that was comfortable to apply and wear. It lasted a good four and a half hours and hydrated slightly over time.

Formula overview

$ 8.00 / 0.24 oz. – $ 33.33 per ounce

The formula is said to be a “hybrid” product that has the “color of a lipstick with the care of a lip balm” in a “creamy matt finish”. They described the cover as “buildable”. They have a flexible deer foot applicator with a more rounded side and a more sloping, triangular side (the latter worked well for creating sharper color lines).

The product had a more semi-opaque to opaque coverage in a single puff of the product, although one could certainly only use one side of the applicator product to provide more transparent, more buildable coverage if needed.

The consistency was mousse-like with an airy, velvety-soft handle that was easy to spread on the lips and was comfortable to wear. It wasn’t tacky, but there was a bit of adhesion with no tack, the kind I find is there with more velvety, silicone-heavy formulas like this one.

It has a rather creamy finish that wears off to a soft, matte finish after an hour or two. They do not have complete dehydration, so they are not resistant to transmission or extremely durable. They lasted between four and six hours, with deeper, reddish hues tending to last the longest and leave light stains. They easily moisturized over time. There seemed to be no smell and there was no taste.

They’re much lighter and less “wet” to the touch than the brand’s previous Ultra Satin formula. The Ultra Satin formula adhered better and was very durable, and while it wasn’t transfer-resistant initially, it was more transfer-resistant after an hour or two of wear.

We’re flying tonight

ColourPop Tonight We Fly Fresh Kiss Lip Crème ($ 8.00 for 0.24 ounce) is a deep eggplant purple with subtle, warm undertones and an off-white finish. It had medium, somewhat buildable pigmentation paired with a creamy, very light texture that spread well but was soft enough that it wasn’t the most even shade to work with. It lasted a good five hours, left a stain, and felt slightly moisturizing.

Hi guys

ColourPop Hello Boys Fresh Kiss lip cream ($ 8.00 for 0.24 oz.) Is a deep, ink black with neutral undertones and a satin finish. It had near-opaque color coverage in a single layer that could be built up with additional product for opaque results if needed.

The texture was smooth, velvety, and moderately creamy with a feathery feel, but it had some slippage, so I found it easier to wear this contrasting shade by dabbing lightly after the first application. It has worn well for four and a half hours and felt slightly moisturizing when worn.
