Malibu sunset
Malibu sunset is a deep raspberry red with cooler undertones and a creamy finish. It had a rich coverage of paint that was applied evenly to my lips with a smooth, slightly creamy consistency that wasn’t too dense or too thin. There was a tiny amount of product that got stuck in my deeper lip lines and wasn’t visible in person (only in the close-up photo). It took a good six hours, left a stain, and felt slightly moisturizing over time.

Formula overview

The formula meant to be a “creamy matte” that “glides like butter, doesn’t bounce or bleed, and lasts so long you’ll forget you’re wearing it in the first place”. The majority of the shades were fairly pigmented in a single stroke with full color yield, some in the semi-opaque coverage area.
The texture, on average, was smooth, slightly creamy, and not too thick or too thin so it wasn’t tugged when applied, but the paint didn’t feel slippery when worn, which made it easier to apply straight out of the tube and low – Maintenance on the lips.
They tend to dry out within one to three hours of wearing and wear off to a soft, matte finish. Although very light, they hug the lips more as they become dull (compared to the initial feel). The wearing time for most colors was between four and six hours, and most colors were non-drying to slightly moisturizing. They smelled of vanilla but had no discernible taste.

Malibu sunset is a deep raspberry pink with strong, cool undertones and a matte finish. It had an almost opaque paint coverage that applied evenly and smoothly to my lips with very little pulling / pulling. The texture was smooth, velvety, and light, so that while it was a little clingy, it wasn’t dry or uncomfortable to wear. It stayed good for over six hours and left a faint stain.
