ColourPop Love Bite Glossy Lip Stain ($ 8.00 for 0.21 fl. Oz.) Is a rich, medium-dark red with cooler, pink undertones and a soft sheen. The sheen it had from the first time the product was applied disappeared as the formula dried a little. The texture was initially more watery, thinner and very spreadable and then developed after about thirty seconds to something thinner, stickier and significantly less watery / softening.
The product stained a bit as it definitely lasted and was worn well (six hours), but there wasn’t enough stain to really stand even a light meal. The formula didn’t dry out and was flattering to wear as it didn’t accentuate my lip lines or lip texture. It had medium buildable pigmentation just as marketed.

$ 8.00 / 0.21 oz. – $ 38.10 an ounce
It is said to have the “long-lasting power of a lip stain” with the “shine of a gloss”, paired with a “medium to buildable coverage” that “does not dry”. The initial texture was almost watery, overly spreadable (and the applicator often picked up more product than needed, so be careful when applying), but dried to a more silky sheen that was less glossy and more like a satined lipstick with some translucence was.
The initial shine wore off within two hours, making it look like a real satin finish – this went for doing nothing or just a glass as it wasn’t transferable. The stain did not get through a meal and tended to leave a very thick ring around the edges of my lips because it wore off so quickly while eating. Left to their own devices, most sunglasses were worn for about six hours, leaving a faint mark.
It had medium buildable coverage but quickly built up to semi-opaque coverage without an official second coat (just go back and forth to get an even layer of product). A few shades were more true to color to medium and others were more semi-opaque from the first layer on.
There did not seem to be any added fragrance or flavor to wear.

Double cherry
ColourPop Double Cherry Glossy Lip Stain ($ 8.00 for 0.21 fl. Oz.) Is a light, medium red with neutral to warm undertones and a natural sheen. It was shinier at first, but the formula has moderate dehydration where the more watery consistency became less watery, a little sticky, and had a more silky sheen.
I found that the initial sheen really went away within an hour or so, so it had a true satin finish for most of its life. It had medium pigmentation that could be built up to largely opaque coverage, and the color was applied evenly to my lips, although I would recommend using a lighter hand as the applicator picked up a lot more product than I needed.
It took six hours and had some tinting power, but it was a weaker stain that couldn’t make it through a meal at all (except for a ring around my lips that completely disappeared).
