Fruit basket

ColourPop fruit basket just one color duo (mini) ($ 10.00 for 0.08 oz.) Is a new, limited-edition, mini-sized duo with new shades in the brand’s tinted lipstick / lip balm formula. I’m a big fan of this formula from a general point of view as it is very comfortable, the lip texture is forgiving and moisturizing, but as I’ve seen in the past, both colors were much more pigmented than pure (as marketed!). As long as the increased pigmentation is a good thing, they’re cute!

Juicy apple

Juicy apple is a medium pink with subtle, cool undertones and an off-white finish with a moderate sheen. The consistency was smooth, light, and balsamic – emollient, while thin (but not clingy!) And not overly slippery (more like a lipstick). It had a medium, buildable color payoff – though it was supposed to have sheer coverage – that stuck evenly to my lips and didn’t tend to emphasize my natural texture. The color lasted well for four hours and felt moisturizing over time.

Formula overview

$ 7.00 / 0.07 oz. – – $ 100.00 per ounce

The formula is described as “the perfect sheer color wash in the most comfortable, lightest and most moisturizing formula”. Here’s the big takeout … they’re not that plain; They are not a splash of color. They have medium to semi-opaque buildable coverage, with some shades having greater medium coverage. I just wouldn’t say they are plain or just a wash. This medium to semi-opaque degree of coverage still allows for a certain degree of translucency, which gives the color a lighter appearance that is more like a stain.

The texture was creamy, thin, light, and balsamic; I would actually say it felt like a gel-like balm because it had the pillow-like slip of a lip balm but had the smoothing power of gel-based formulas. The most impressive aspect of the formula was how little the colors sank into my lip lines and how forgiving they were with imperfections in the lip texture. The wear time for me varied between two and a half to four hours, and the formula was slightly moisturizing over time. They have a sweet, fruity smell (passion fruit according to their website) but no discernible taste.

Cherry cherry

Cherry cherry is a lighter, medium-dark pink with subtle, warm undertones and a natural sheen. It had a semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation with a smooth, light consistency that felt like a lipstick-lip balm hybrid as it slid comfortably over my lips. It carried well for four hours and felt slightly moisturizing over time. The “downside” was that it should be pure color.
