ColourPop Duet 5-Pan Pressed Powder Palette ($ 10.00 for 0.15 oz.) Is a new, warm-toned neutral palette based on copper. It contained three “matte” eyeshadows (two of which sparkled on top) and two shimmers. The formula was consistent with this type of finish from the brand, but there were definitely problems using it.
This palette is one of five in a holiday vault, although ColourPop said they would be available individually at my request, but they did not appear individually on the website. It’s not realistic for me to check it out as a set (takes much longer, but I’ve also started testing them across sets and the system is better set up for one pallet, not five, for readability) within a set!) so decided to check them out one at a time.

two is a light, peach-colored copper with moderate, warm undertones and a matte finish. For the most part, it had an opaque, buildable color release, paired with a slightly drier, loosely pressed consistency. I would recommend using a fingertip or a dampened brush with this paint. It was a good eight hours before something faded.

Paired
Paired is a dusty, darker peach with moderate, warm undertones and a matte finish with a slight sparkle on top. The consistency is smoother, more velvety and mixable with a slight powderiness, but not shimmering out. Since sparks did not combine well with the rest of the powder, there was a slight precipitate during application. It wore well for eight hours before noticeably fading.

ensemble
ensemble is a medium red with warmer undertones and a sparkling, metallic finish. It had a smooth, moderately firm print, but there was still a slight precipitate from the amount of sparkle throughout the powder. It had opaque paint coverage that stayed fine for eight hours, with a slight fallout over time.

Opera
Opera is a rich, medium-dark copper brown with golden sparkles over a matte finish. The underlying eyeshadow was quite pigmented, but there were glitter spots that disappeared or fell off as you applied it. During application, I didn’t find many sticking to my skin so precipitation over time wasn’t a problem. The texture was smooth, mixable, but a bit powdery to work with. It took a good eight hours before it visibly faded.
