ColourPop Couplet 5-Pan Pressed Powder Palette ($ 10.00 for 0.15 oz.) Is a new, neutral eyeshadow palette that includes three matte eyeshadows and two shimmery eyeshadows. There was good contrast between the hues, making it more versatile than some of the brand’s other smaller neutral palettes. The quality was consistent with my previous experience with the formulas: pigmented, mixable and longer lasting with sometimes slightly powdery.
This palette is one of five in a holiday vault, although ColourPop said they would be available individually at my request, but they did not appear individually on the website. It’s not realistic to me to check it out as a set (takes much longer, but I’ve also started testing them across sets and the system is better set up for one pallet, not five, for readability) within a set!) so decided to check them out one at a time.

epigram
epigram is a darker, yellowish peach with strong, warm undertones and a matte finish. It had a smooth, almost velvety consistency with a light powdered finish, but delivered an opaque paint release in a single layer that could be blended along the edges without shearing too easily. It wore well for eight hours before it visibly faded.

rhyme is a light-medium peach with warmer, orange undertones and a metallic sheen. The texture was incredibly soft, almost fragile, so a light touch was key to avoiding precipitation. It had a rich color release that lasted well for eight hours before noticeably fading.

Narrative
Narrative is a light-medium, yellowish brown with muted, warm undertones and a matte finish. The consistency was soft, smooth, and easily powdery to mix, but not enough to be prone to fallout. It had almost full color coverage but had to be easily assembled. It lasted a good eight hours before it visibly faded.

The texture was a bit drier and felt looser to the touch, so there would be a slight precipitate during application if I wasn’t careful when pressing. It had an opaque pigmentation that was worn well for eight hours before it faded a little.

sound is a dark brown with subtle, warm red undertones and a matte finish. It had a largely opaque, buildable color cover that adhered evenly to bare skin and was easy to blend. The texture was smooth, a little thinner than other shades, but neither too powdery nor too tightly pressed into the pan. There were fading marks after eight hours of wear.
