New Delhi: Popular audio chat app Clubhouse is reportedly working on a new way to invite people to audio rooms in its app. According to screenshots shared by researcher Jane Manchum Wong, the invitation feature called “Waves” focuses on the looser, more social side of the clubhouse, reports The Verge.

Waves would allow users to beckon friends with a button identical to the hand in the clubhouse logo to invite them to chat. When they answer, they are automatically added to an audio room for you to speak.

Clubhouse recently introduced spatial audio that would add a new level of depth to clubhouse chats.

According to the company, spatial audio will make listeners feel better about hanging out with a group of other people live.

The feature, which works with all wired and wireless headphones, will “slowly” reach all new iOS users and will be the standard experience.

Clubhouse has reached an agreement with TED to bring exclusive conversations to its platform.

The deal allows TED to sell ads and sponsorship for its talks, and Clubhouse will not take any stake. Also read: Kya Sasta, Kya Mehnga? Review the list of goods and services whose GST rates have been updated
