INTERNATIONAL SCI-TECH COOPERATION
China stands ready to promote the establishment of the Sino-Latin American Center for Sustainable Food Innovation and Technology Transfer Center to deepen practical science and technology cooperation in addressing global challenges, China’s Minister of Science and Technology Wang Zhigang said on Wednesday.
Wang made the remarks at the Second Science, Technology and Innovation Forum of the China Latin American and Caribbean Community.
CHANG’E-4
According to the China National Space Administration’s Lunar Exploration and Space Program Center, the Chang’e-4 probe’s lander and rover have worked 1,000 Earth days on the far side of the moon as of Wednesday.
The Yutu-2 lander and rover are in good condition. The payloads on board are also functioning properly and will continue scientific exploration on the other side of the moon.
EXPERT IN RADAR TECHNOLOGY AWARDED
Liu Yongtan, radar and signal processing expert, was honored with the honorary title “Role Model of the Times” for his contribution to the development of radar technology at sea.
The advertising department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China announced the decision to award the title in Beijing on Wednesday.
