Wonder (124)

Chanel Merveille (124) Rouge Coco Bloom lip color ($ 40.00 for 0.11 oz.) Is a medium-sized coral with moderate, warm undertones that tends to slightly pink. It had rich color coverage paired with a creamy, moderately emollient consistency that was easy to apply as it didn’t emphasize my lip texture and was more likely to forgive imperfections. It took a good four hours and felt slightly moisturizing.

Formula overview

$ 40.00 / 0.11 oz. – – $ 363.64 per ounce

The formula is said to have “intense color” and a “high gloss finish” that is “long-lasting” and “moisturizing”. The majority of the shades had a semi-opaque to opaque coverage, with some having a more translucent coverage. The color is usually applied evenly and evenly to my lips without puffing or noticeably settling in my lip lines.

The texture was pliable, more like a lipstick and lip balm hybrid with moderate slip and a tendency to be more yielding as it warmed against my lips, though it didn’t start out stiff or firm either. I found that most of the shades flattered my lips as they tend to be more forgiving of imperfections in texture.

While they weren’t particularly long-lasting – more like three to five hours of deeper red-based hues that lasted the longest – they were comfortable, moisturizing, and not prone to leakage / bleeding. They had a floral scent, but no discernible taste.

Season (126)

Chanel Season (126) Rouge Coco Bloom lip color ($ 40.00 for 0.11 oz.) Is a light, medium-dark fuchsia pink with subtle, cool undertones and a natural sheen. It had almost opaque pigmentation in a single stroke that was applied evenly and evenly to my lips without accentuating my natural lip texture or settling in my lip lines.

The texture was light, smooth, and balm-like, so it was thin and pliable, and had enough slip that it would go on without pulling, but not slide around while worn. It stayed good for four and a half hours, leaving a slight stain, and was moisturizing.

Magic (128)

Chanel Magic (128) Rouge Coco Bloom lip color ($ 40.00 for 0.11 oz.) Is a lighter, medium-dark red with cool undertones and a bright sheen. For the most part, it had an opaque color payoff that was evenly applied to my lips with a single stroke.

The lipstick had moderate slip, making it feel more like a lip balm / lipstick hybrid, although it didn’t cushion me or bleed when I wore it. It was easy to wear for five hours, left a faint mark, and was moisturizing to wear.
