Chanel Legendaire (157) Rouge Allure Luminous Intense Lip Color ($ 38.00 for 0.12 oz.) Is a deep raspberry red with cool undertones and a bright finish. It had a mostly opaque buildable paint cover that stuck evenly to my lips and was forgiving of lip texture (like flake / dryness).

The lipstick had a light, slightly emollient texture that was thin but non-sticky, which ensured that it wouldn’t slip when you wore it, but was comfortable to apply and wear. It lasted a good five hours and felt moisturizing over time.

Most of the shades in the series have a semi-gloss to glossy finish – not glossy, but they have a luminosity that gives the impression of a lighter color and smoother, fuller lips that a true satin finish doesn’t (in my experience). .

The texture feels more velvety – smooth with great glide but not a lot of moisture, so they feel comfortable, but feel very light and thin, but don’t emphasize the lip lines / lip texture. The opacity tends to be semi-opaque to opaque, so that they do not always meet the requirement of “full coverage”.

Most shades last four hours or more, with some of the deeper and bold shades lasting six hours or more, and the formula moisturized for me. They have a subtle, floral scent, but no noticeable taste.

The texture was light, thin, but non-sticky, and slightly emollient with good glide, but never felt too slippery. Chanel Rouge Brulant (191) Rouge Allure Luminous Intense Lip Color ($ 38.00 for 0.12 oz.) Is a lighter, medium-dark coral with moderate, warm undertones and a bright sheen. It had a semi-opaque, buildable color release that stuck evenly to my lips and was comfortable to wear.

The texture felt light to the touch, thinner but not clingy, and had a slight slip that helped it slide well but kept it from feeling slippery when worn. It could have been more smoothing how I find this formula. It wore well for four and a half hours and felt moisturizing over time.
