Fearless Valentine’s Day (110)

Forever Fearless Makeup Valentine’s Day (110) Rouge Artist Lipstick (2020) Makeup Forever Fearless Valentine’s Day (110) Rouge Artist Lipstick (2020) ($ 23.00 for 0.11 oz.) Is light, rosy brown with subtle, warm undertones and a satin finish. It had almost opaque pigmentation in a single layer that was applied evenly and comfortably to my lips.

The texture was light, thin but not clingy, smooth and had just enough creaminess to look good but not slide around while wearing. It wore on for a good four and a half hours and felt slightly moisturizing.

Formula overview

$ 23.00 / 0.11 oz. – – $ 209.09 per ounce

The formula is said to “smudge, smooth and hydrate” with “the intensity of a mat and the comfort of a cream” and delivers “ultra pigment”[ation]”The consistency reminded me of the newer ‘matte’ formulas that feel velvety without moisture / shine – those that feel more silicone-heavy, primer-like and often thinner. I would say the new Rouge Artist formula is a bit more traditional Creaminess, hence there was a satin sheen (which was as marketed – satin finish!).

The consistency was smooth, light and thin without feeling clingy. Multiple shades were seen in the close-ups that looked like small bits were scattered on my lips, almost like it had pilled, although I didn’t feel it when I pressed my lips together and couldn’t see it in person.

They usually had an opaque to opaque color coverage in a single layer. Most of the colors were applied evenly and sat well enough on my lips, although there were a few that slightly emphasized my lip lines. They carried me for four to six hours with some of the very rich, deeper hues that lasted a little longer. For the most part, the formula felt non-drying to slightly moisturizing to me.

There was a sweet, slightly floral scent that was noticeable for the first few minutes, but I didn’t notice any taste.

Burning Clay (118)

Makeup Forever Burning Clay (118) Rouge Artist Lipstick (2020) Makeup Forever Burning Clay (118) Rouge Artist Lipstick (2020) ($ 23.00 for 0.11 oz.) Is a darker, coppery red with subtle, warm undertones and a satin sheen. It had semi-opaque pigmentation in a single layer that built up easily but didn’t build up evenly or as intensely along the inner area of my lips.

This may be because the texture is on the thinner side with moderate slack, so building up pushed the paint around more than it was overlaying it. This shade lasted well for four and a half hours and felt slightly moisturizing when worn.
