BARCELONA star Ansu Fati was broken into for money, watches and expensive jewelry while watching his team beat rivals Espanyol.

The 19-year-old himself reported a break-in into a police station in Sant Cugat del Valles north of the Catalan capital on Monday.

Family members were watching the game at home when they heard noises upstairs around 10 p.m.

Family members raised the alarm at around 10 p.m. Saturday after hearing noises from an upstairs room while enjoying Barcelona’s 1-0 win in Xavi’s first home game on the ground floor.

The police rushed to the property, but the intruders had already fled with the valuables when they arrived.

Fati, currently injured after another setback after returning from a knee injury that lasted him for ten months, was standing in the stands at Nou Camp at the time.

The teenager joins a long list of Barcelona footballers whose homes have been targeted in recent years.

These include Gerard Pique, Jordi Alba, Samuel Umtiti and former Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho, as well as today’s Wolf ace Nelson Semedo.

Coutinho’s house near Barcelona was broken into in February 2018 on the same day his car was towed.

The midfielder had to retrieve his Audi Q7 from an urban stable after visiting the famous Sagrada Familia monument with family and friends and parking it poorly.

It was to get worse when he returned to his luxury villa in Castelldefels, a 30-minute drive south of the Catalan capital, to find it had been broken into.

It is believed that the thieves took advantage of two ladders left by a neighboring property currently being worked on to enter the mansion, the old home of Cesc Fabregas.

Coutinho was enjoying time out with his wife Aine and friends after staying behind in Barcelona while his teammates were traveling to Chelsea for a Champions League game because he was unable to compete.

Alvaro Morata was still a Chelsea player but was on loan to Atletico Madrid when his home was attacked by burglars in June 2019 while his wife Alice Campello was at home with a nanny and their twin sons Alessandro and Leonardo.

The Italian then admitted that she would be “afraid for a long time” after the break-in at the footballer’s home north of Madrid, as he was thousands of kilometers away in the Faroe Islands for Spain’s European Championship qualifier.
