BARCELONA ace Riqui Puig has enraged Spanish journalists after he was caught watching Money Heist after the Catalan club were kicked into the Europa League.

Bayern Munich made it easy for Xavis Barca to win 3-0 on Wednesday to eliminate the Spanish side from the Champions League group stage for the first time in 20 years.

Thomas Müller and Leroy Sane both scored in the first half.

And youngster Jamal Musiala put the final nail in the coffin with a clean finish in the 62nd minute.

Barca will now play in the Europa League and to overcome the disappointment, Puig decided to watch the popular Netflix series Money Heist, which enraged the Spanish media.

A guest from El Chiringuito was annoyed: “Yes, but no, for Barca’s image, not today, he can’t see Money Heist.”

Barca legend Lobo Carrasco – looking broken by the news that his former club is out of Europe’s biggest club competition – replied: “I prefer not to have an opinion.”

Europa League football is the “harsh reality” of Barca’s situation, says coach Xavi.

But the Spaniard urges his players to “use this as a turning point to change many things”.

After the devastating 3-0 defeat, Xavi said: “Today Bayern were better than us, they were superior.

“We tried; we pushed up, took the ball away from them, but our situation is the harsh reality that we have.

“Today begins a new chapter for us and we have to start asking a lot more of ourselves, we have to use this as a turning point to change a lot.

“Today we didn’t play with a top team and our reality is that we are a Europa League team.

“We will face this reality with all the dignity in the world and work to bring Barca back to where we deserve, which is not the Europa League.

“It really annoys me to look our reality in the eye, I’m angry. Barça didn’t deserve it. There are a lot of circumstances that made us this way.”

“I feel responsible for the result. I thought we could qualify, but it wasn’t like that. Anyone who tries never fails.

“Our challenge in the Europa League? We have to win it, win every game and title.”
