Pyrite

Auric Pyrite Glow Lust Radiant Luminizer ($ 45.00 for 1.13 oz.) Is a darker beige with muted, golden olive tones and a natural sheen. It had fine pearls throughout that were barely noticeable on my skin when applied as a standalone highlighter, but looked more like a light to moderate glow that didn’t look overly wet (so not that shiny / shiny).

It had a light, slightly creamy consistency that was more substantial than many liquid bulbs on the market, which can be thinner and more fluid (which isn’t necessarily a negative or a positive). It was applied evenly and effortlessly applied to bare skin or on top of the foundation as it was not raised and used as a standalone highlighter. It had more semi-transparent to medium-sized buildable cover applied on its own and sheer to semi-transparent buildable cover when mixed in.

I had no problem mixing it with foundation or a moisturizer, although the base color shows a little more through with moisturizer. This shade stayed well on for nine hours before showing signs of fading as a highlighter, and did not affect the longevity of my base products when mixed in.

Formula overview

$ 45.00 / 1.13 oz. – – $ 39.82 per ounce

The formula is intended to have a buildable cover so that it can be used “alone” or “mixed” with skin care / foundation, or “used as a highlighter on foundation”.

The consistency was creamy, slightly thicker than many liquid bulbs (but not heavy or too thick), and the base appeared to be more pigmented compared to other liquid bulbs as well.

It had a very fine pearl throughout, which gave the skin luminosity and a subtle to light shimmer with light moisture. The shimmer was almost undetectable when applied and diffused as a stand-alone product, but it gave my skin a noticeable increase in shine, regardless of whether it was used alone or mixed.

It was easy to mix with moisturizer, foundation, and foundation, and it worked well on the highlights of the face as well, whether my skin was bare or on the foundation. I had no problem lifting my base products – set and not set – when applied on top. It mostly dried out, kept track of the slight moisture, and wasn’t sticky.

As a standalone highlighter, it carried well for nine hours before it faded a little, and I didn’t notice any impact on longevity when combined with base products.

It felt more like a cross between Charlotte Tilbury’s Hollywood Flawless Filter (which is thinner and slightly rounder by comparison and has a more pronounced pearlescent / shimmer) and Natasha Denona’s original Face Glow formula (a thicker, cream-colored consistency that was squeezed out) on a tube and was very luminous, but not so visibly shimmering).

The reality is that when you are someone who mixes these types of products with moisturizers or foundations, differences are always minimized more and more (as they tend to hide themselves out like they’re supposed to). I wouldn’t expect this if you are still working your way through something else and enjoying that you would have to run to get this, but it’s definitely worth trying in the future if you like the idea of a more subtle shine but like that kind of product.
