Auric Ego Smoke Reflect eyeshadow duo ($ 39.00 for 0.23 oz.) Contains a sparkling, warmer pewter powder eye shadow paired with a dark, greyish-taupe cream eye shadow. For those who like high-gloss, sparkly eyeshadow and an off-white eyeshadow with longer playtime, both may be attractive. If you tend to wear your cream eyeshadow shadows heavier, the darker base won’t work as well as other shades.

Ego (powder)
Ego (powder) is a light, golden tin with warmer undertones and a sparkling, high-gloss finish. The texture was smooth, thin, but not too dry, and while pressed harder, it wasn’t as prone to failure as something with a loose press, but was best used with moderate hand / pressure. I’ve found that I preferred using a dampened brush when trying to use it as a standalone product, while a dry brush or fingertip was fine for using it as a layered tone (it seemed for both Functions to be intended).
It had a semi-opaque buildable cover, although the base itself was more translucent as described by the brand. The product was applied evenly to bare skin and had very little precipitation even when used dry as it adhered fairly well. It stayed fine for eight hours but had slight breakdowns over time.

I (cream)
I (cream) is a deep, gray-taupe-colored base with a fine, multi-colored pearl that gave it a soft sheen. It had rich color coverage in a single coat where a little went a long way. However, the darker, gray base made it harder to apply as a clean wash and to get a really even finish. Personally, however, it read more mixed than it appeared in the photo (similar to how lip products can more or less noticeably stand out “personally” than on a close-up photo).
The texture was smooth and pliable without being as wet as expected. it was a little more airy and mousse-like, which gave it good adhesion with greater coverage while remaining miscible along the edges. It was a more playtime formula that some might prefer, but I had to buff / hide the product on my inner lid area as it turned into fine lines a bit as it dried out (although it didn’t happen in my actual crease). Once I did that, the product dried out and held for nine hours before showing signs of wrinkles.

Formula overview

It should be “smooth, durable”[ing], [and] creaseless “cream eyeshadow. The texture was a cross between a traditional cream eyeshadow (which can feel wetter and thinner) and a more airy, heavier whipped mousse. It was an intensely pigmented formula that didn’t take much product to get even Achieve effect product layer on the eye.
They had a moderate dry season; They dried off to a powdery finish that wasn’t stir-proof – I could still soften the edges a bit – but tended to get stuck in my fine lines on the inner lid area as it dried so I had to polish the product again to get it balance. Once I did that, it stopped wrinkling after it dried out. If I applied and polished the product as a sheer layer of product, it wasn’t a problem as fewer products were more likely to dry out quickly compared to a more opaque layer of product.
The consistency dried out but wasn’t thick, heavy, or inflexible, so it went well with other powder eye shadows (not just the ones included) and could also be used as an eye shadow base or eyeliner. Aside from the initial wrinkles (which I was able to mix / polish) during drying, I didn’t get wrinkles for eight to nine hours after drying.
