Apple will offer new options for users to watch movies or listen to music together while using FaceTime. It also introduces a new grid view to better render each face on a call.

“We’ve all used video calling for almost everything,” said Craig Federighi, Apple’s SVP of Software Engineering, during a keynote presentation on Monday.

The features were announced at Apple’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference, a multi-day event usually about software news.

Rumor has it that the company is planning a number of announcements, including redesigned MacBooks, updated iMessage features, and an overhaul to the iPad operating system. In addition to new gadgets and the launch of iOS 15, WWDC will also be an opportunity for Apple to reach out to its developer community amid two major disputes with app makers – a controversial legal battle with Fortnite maker Epic Games over the app Apple store fees Apple and a feud with Facebook (FB) via Apple’s new App Tracking Privacy Policy.

This year, Apple’s WWDC will take place online for the second time.
