New Delhi: The battery is one of Apple’s major upgrades in its iPhone 13 series devices. All four models in the iPhone 13 series, namely the iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, have longer battery life than their 2020 counterparts. In addition, Apple has reduced the notch on the iPhone 13 series.

According to previous reports, Apple would completely forego the notch on its iPhone 14 series phones in favor of a punch-hole display. Ming-Chi Kuo, a well-known Apple analyst, also predicted that the iPhone 14 would have a punch-hole display and a biometric authentication mechanism that combines Touch ID and Face ID. However, a new analysis says otherwise. Also read: Facebook and Instagram apologize for the second outage in a week

Tipster Panda claims that Apple would not remove the iconic notch from its 2022 iPhone models, i.e. the iPhone 14 series. Instead, the iPhone maker will shrink the notch by reducing the footprint of the Face ID sensors and the front camera. Interestingly, Kuo previously said that Apple’s Pro lineup will include a punch display for next year, though non-Pro models like the iPhone 14 will keep a notch.

On the day the iPhone 13 series was released, tipster Jon Prosser followed suit by revealing design renders of the iPhone 14 Pro Max. The tipster’s pictures showed that the iPhone 14 Pro Max will have a hole-punch display with the selfie camera in the top center of the panel. Also read: Facebook update! Tipster Panda also claimed in a now-deleted Weibo post that Touch ID won’t make a comeback in the iPhone 14 series next year, contrary to many reports that have suggested the iPhone 14 will be a combination of Face ID and Touch ID which increases overall security and gives users the ability to unlock their iPhones in a variety of ways, especially if they are wearing face masks. According to the source, Apple will continue to use Face ID as the primary and only means of biometric verification on iPhone 14-series phones.

In other words, those who have hesitated to purchase the Apple iPhone 13 while waiting for the “tech marvel” iPhone 14 to be released should reconsider their decision.

After all, the iPhone 14 series is still a long way from being launched, so nothing is set in stone yet. As far as we know, Apple might surprise us with features and functionality that we didn’t even hear about when we announced the iPhone 14.
