COVID-19 VACCINATION
In China, a recombinant protein COVID-19 vaccine developed in China has been made available that must be administered in three shots.
China issued emergency vaccine approval on March 10, and people from many provinces, including Anhui and Hubei, have been vaccinated since then. According to the institute, the first batch of the vaccine rolled off the assembly line in Beijing on May 3.
“CHINESE ARTIFICIAL SUN”
Chinese scientists set a new world record in the last experiment on Friday, in which a plasma temperature of 120 million degrees Celsius was reached for a period of 101 seconds. This is an important step towards the test run of a fusion reactor.
This year’s experiment on the experimentally advanced superconducting tokamak (EAST) or the “Chinese artificial sun” also achieved a plasma temperature of 160 million degrees Celsius, which lasted 20 seconds.
APPLE’S CHINA DATA CENTER
Apple Inc. officially opened its first Chinese data center in southwest Guizhou Province this week, local authorities said on Thursday.
The data center jointly owned by Apple and Guizhou-Cloud Big Data Industry Co., Ltd. was built in Gui’an New Area, began operating on Tuesday, according to the new area’s management committee.
