She continued, “She is the only child of my late brother and I would not lose her in the system.”
WAFFLEHOUSE HOAXER
It was a ruse, however.
TMZ published a report suspending a woman who called herself “Tiffany Clark” who worked at a South Carolina waffle house, saying the TikTok video was the result of her caring for the child after her brother – one of them – died Cheater.
“This person posing as an employee also told us that they have been suspended from Waffle House for a week … everything we know now is NOT TRUE,” read the published correction of the story.
COMPANY CORRECTES RECORD
A Waffle House representative also confirmed that they examined the cook who was clutching the child in the TikTok video and “found that the media displays and social media posts are incorrect”.
The spokesman further confirmed that the person in the video was not the person who interviewed TMZ and who never asked for donations and, most importantly, “was never suspended from their job.”
Waffle House described that the employee featured on the TikTok clip, who has not been publicly identified, tried to calm her colleague’s crying baby.
She has since been trained and retrained on safety guidelines, according to the point of sale.
