As my personal way of partying, I’ve returned to vibrant hair colors as an ode to collaboration colors (Lauren Krech hair, I paid for my full service but she does a great job if you’re in the Phoenix area).
Thank you for reading Temptalia, whether you are new or have been around for a long time, because without your readership the collaboration would not have been possible! Many thanks to the readers who have encouraged me to work together over the years. Thanks to the readers who left comments or liked my posts on the color story / color combination and got me thinking, “hmm, maybe I could do something people like!”

Some thoughts ahead! I worked with MAC Cosmetics 10 years ago and launched a single eyeshadow (Jealousy Wakes) on June 21st. It wasn’t planned as such, but it’s incredible it’s been almost 10 years to the day – so I’ve re-examined this process and my efforts to support this launch. It really IS the Temptalia way because just 10 years ago I was giving an in-depth look at the process and providing duplicates / comparisons. I find the process part of the journey fascinating – wish more people would address the toughest parts, the simplest parts, what they loved, or how a hue has changed over time.
Temptalia will celebrate its 15th anniversary this October. Feedback over the years and what colors I’ve always loved but never felt like there were enough of them.
We’re thrilled with how it went – we were so hoping the stock levels wouldn’t lead to a quick sell-out. We wanted people to have time to shop. I am so happy to be working with Sydney Grace on this project because they have given me so much control over every aspect of the collection; from the color stories to the textures to the names, the artworks and the marketing. You let me implement my vision uncompromisingly. You agree with my desire to get better from readers / customers – that meant there wasn’t an extremely limited edition, being transparent and open about the collection and the process, and getting the product right.
I would also like to say a very, very special THANK YOU to the Temptalia Discord for their encouragement, support and constructive feedback. It was you who gave me the extra push to get in touch with Sydney Grace right away. They helped me through some of the more difficult moments during the process and I always felt supported, but they always gave real, honest feedback / comment. I am fortunate to have such intelligent, logical, and sensible readers across the board.
