Spotify brings the feature to download songs to Apple Watch. This feature allows Apple Watch users to download songs from Spotify for offline use, so they don’t need an internet connection to enjoy a number.
Previously, Apple Watch users could only stream audio files on their portable devices through Spotify over an internet connection or through their smartphone. On Friday (May 21), Spotify announced the launch of the feature that allows Apple Watch users to download playlists, podcasts, and albums to Apple Watch.
The restarted function is especially helpful when the smartphone of Apple Watch users is not available. In its official press release, Spotify said that all users can already play tracks, albums, playlists and podcasts. Now premium users can also download everything they hear for a true offline and phone-free experience.
However, the song download feature will work on the Apple Watch Series 3 or its portable successors running on WatchOS 6.0 or other updated operating systems. Users with a Spotify Premium account can only download the songs from the over-the-top audio streaming platform.
Spotify launched the feature on the Apple Watch, and the company announced that all global users will be able to download songs to their eligible devices in the coming weeks. “Users can control playback – seamlessly playing, pausing, and skipping tracks or podcast episodes – right from their wrist. With Spotify Connect, you can also use your Apple Watch to control playback from any device, whether it’s wireless speakers, TVs or game consoles, ”said Spotify.
