First, I want to make it clear that a cream primer for me is the type of primer that comes in either a compact or a jar, either a pencil primer.

I prefer liquid primers, both for texture and for more hygienic, pump-based packaging.
I just hate how unsanitary most cream foundations are; The idea of exposing the foundation to the air on a large surface or of having to scoop it out from a glass scares me. But I’m also a bit of a germaphobic when it comes to makeup, everything has to come with a pump, I don’t even use Doefoot Applicator Concealer. 😅
And besides, I’m pretty clumsy. I’ll likely drop a glass foundation and make a big spill. or drop a compact or sticky foundation and get lint all over the place and fail to clean it completely.
I know some foundations marketed as cream come in tubes, but I still associate them with liquid foundations in my head … just liquid foundations with a creamier texture.

I’ve tried a few cream foundations in the past. I remember most of them being too fat and pliable for my liking. I could just feel it on my skin and it feels uncomfortable for me.
Although they were more pliable, they still managed to accentuate my dry areas.

I remember really enjoying the Make Up Forever Stick Foundation when I first started it, but I tried it a few years later and it was horrible, even though my skin got a little drier in the meantime.
