ColourPop Nook Inc press powder Quad ($ 12.00 for 0.12 oz.) Is a new, aqua / teal-themed limited edition quad that features a pressed glitter and three eyeshadows. This, along with the rest of the Animal Crossing collaboration, starts on January 28th at 10 a.m. PT on the ColourPop website and on February 14th on Ulta.
I wish the brand had included a Super Shock Shadow instead of a glitter as I think that would have allowed them to achieve a similar appearance, which would have made the palette more versatile and appealed to a wider audience. These cooler hues are harder to find, so for some they might be worth the effort, but they weren’t the best or easiest to apply shades the brand has released.

Yes / Yes is a light, bluish aqua with cool undertones and a matt sheen. It had a slightly creamy consistency that was pressed more loosely into the pan. I found it easiest to apply with a fingertip, as the base was so non-slip that a brush was more likely to push it around and the end result became less even. It had mostly opaque color payouts that were buildable. It stayed good for eight hours before noticeably fading.

The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is said to be “highly pigmented” and have an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “durable” and “easily sticks to the eyes”. Most shades of color have a semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation that applies well to bare skin, fades out easily and lasts seven to eight hours.

Made in the shade
Made in the shade is a light to medium-sized mint green with cooler undertones and silver flecks on a matte finish. It had an opaque pigmentation with a slightly firmer consistency in the pan so it wasn’t powdery but required a slightly firmer hand to pick up evenly on a brush. The sparkles also resulted in slight failures during use. It took a decent eight hours with slight breakdowns over time.

CEO has a translucent base with a mixture of silvery white glitter with finer particles and multi-colored fine glitter that appeared to be a mix of coral, orange and lavender. This shade has plastic (PET) glitter and is not intended for use around the eyes.
It had a smoother, creamier consistency that was a little sticky and held the glitter in place well, so there was minimal dropout during use. This shade had a decent spread, if not as prominent as some of the brand’s other shades, and had a semi-transparent to medium “coverage”. It carried well for eight hours with slight migration as a cheek product over time.

Water landing is a medium black, shimmering blue teal with cooler undertones and a matte finish. The texture felt a little thinner and drier, but yielded enough to be miscible on bare skin. It had mostly an opaque, buildable pigmentation that lasted well for eight hours before visibly fading.
