In light of the coronavirus pandemic, Google is not celebrating the April Fool’s Day for the second year in a row, an internal email confirmed.

In an internal email, Marvin Chow, Google’s vice president of global marketing, said the tech giant would continue the “hiatus” of April 1st of this year pranks as “much of the world” is still ahead of it due to Covid-19 ” serious challenges, “Business Insider reported.

The report said Google executives sent an internal email to managers in March asking them to stop the jokes about the coronavirus disruption last year.
