Bobbi Brown Buff Crushed Lip ColorBobbi Brown Buff Crushed Lip Color ($ 29.00 for 0.11 oz.) Is a soft, peach-colored coral with warmer undertones and natural sheen. It had medium buildable paint coverage that wasn’t applied as evenly to my lips as expected. I also had issues with the product getting stuck in my deeper lip lines, which emphasized the texture of my lips as a whole.

The texture was light, thin, and had a slight slip while feeling firmer when applied. It lasted three hours and felt slightly moisturizing when worn.

Formula overview

$ 29.00 / 0.11 oz. – – $ 263.64 per ounce

The formula is said to have a “high color payout” with a “dabbed blotch effect” that “slides up comfortably” and keeps the lips “hydrated”. It should also be long-lasting and can be built up in two to three layers, from “dabbed off” in one layer to “intense color payoff”. Most of the colors in the range have a medium to semi-opaque coverage in one layer and could be built up from there with two to three layers. Some shades were applied less evenly than others, although most ran off well enough.

The consistency was more like a firmer, harder balm as it slid easily over my lips, but it didn’t feel wet, pliable or oily, more waxy like a traditional lipstick, but very light. Some shades crept into my lip lines and some emphasized my natural lip texture while others were smoother and more flattering in finish / texture. Wear and tear typically lasted between three and six hours, with some of the bolder / darker hues leaving subtle stains. The formula wasn’t drying to slightly moisturizing, but it wasn’t moisturizing enough for me to put it in this category (moisturizing lipstick). They had a faint scent of lemon and wax that was sometimes imperceptible at all (depending on the shade).

All swatches consist of two layers.

Bobbi Brown Blue Raspberry Crushed Lip ColorBobbi Brown Blue Raspberry Crushed Lip Color ($ 29.00 for 0.11 oz.) Is a muted, light-medium sized coral with moderate, warm undertones and a natural finish. It had a semi-transparent to medium buildable pigmentation with a light, thin consistency that felt moderately firm in the tube, but once felt smoother on my lips. It stayed good for three and a half hours and felt slightly moisturizing over time.
