MAC Turn to the powder Kiss lipstick on the left ($ 21.00 for 0.1 oz.) Is a deeper, maroon with cool undertones and a satin finish. It had more slip than most of the other colors in the range, which gave it a slightly glossier finish that turned semi-dull after an hour or two of wear.
It had a semi-opaque color coverage that was applied fairly evenly, but noticeably set itself in my lip lines. I also had problems with the product, which clumped a bit in places (see my lower lip on the edge). It lasted four and a half hours and didn’t feel drying.

Formula overview
$ 21.00 / 0.1 oz. – – $ 210.00 per ounce
MAC Powder Kiss lipstick ($ 19.00 for 0.10 oz.) Designed to feel “weightless” with a “blurring of effortless soft focus color”. According to the brand, the formula provides “immediate and long-term hydration” and “blurring”[ring] Lines and smooth[ing] Lips “and” zero gloss. “They have a bit of sheen and slippage; I wouldn’t call them zero gloss, but very smooth and more like a natural or soft matte finish. Like any slight gloss finish, you have yourself inside Worn to a flatter, matte finish an hour after wearing, the consistency was light, thin and velvety with a little slip (a bit like a silicone primer to me) and was comfortable to wear from non-drying to slightly moisturizing.
The pigmentation ranged from semi-opaque to opaque with deeper shades with greater coverage. There were some very light shades that weren’t as even and tended to spot imperfections on my lips, while the deeper shades were softer and more flattering looking as they were less likely to emphasize texture. They lasted anywhere from two and a half to six hours with deeper shades, which wasn’t surprising and lasted longer than the ultra-light ones.
Personally, I found the scent of these to be noticeably different, both sweeter and less vanilla-based, but I also got a strong gummy scent that came through. The scent didn’t last long so I didn’t notice it the entire time I wore it, but it had a strong, sweet taste that was there until it was gone. Other readers who smelled the formula personally did not notice a gummy / repulsive odor (my husband thought it was weird, not bad in itself but couldn’t be more specific), and when I came back to check out every single shade, each of them I still had that rubbery note.

MAC Dubonnet Buzz Powder Kiss lipstick ($ 21.00 for 0.1 oz.) Is a deep, coppery red with warm undertones and a semi-matte finish. It was richly pigmented with a smooth, velvety texture that glided lightly over my lips for even, light coverage. The product did not pull on my lips during application, nor settle in my lip lines or emphasize the lip texture. It stayed fine for five hours and didn’t feel drying.
