Becca Moondance (3) Light Shifter Dewing TintBecca Moondance (3) Light Shifter Dewing Tint ($ 30.00 for 1 ounce) is a light medium to medium brown with warmer, golden undertones and a bright finish. This shade seemed to have a slightly more visible pearl compared to other shades in the range, although it was also damp and glowed with a subtle “wet look” when applied all over.

It had sheer coverage when applied and spread all over the face, and it had a semi-transparent, easily buildable cover when applied as a targeted highlighter on the highlights of the face. The texture was light, spreadable, and easy to work with as it was more gel-like to the touch, which ensured it was not runny but also not thick. It worked well above and below the foundation and was also carried on its own. The product stayed well applied as a highlighter for nine hours and was applied to my skin as a tinted moisturizer.

It is described as a “pure tinted moisturizer” so the shades are “flexible” while giving an “ultra-moist finish”. When I saw the promotional video and looked through the ingredients list, it was very reminiscent of other tinted bulb products that are often billed more as luminizers than tinted moisturizers. I initially bought the three shades that are closer to my skin tone in case they are actually more tinted moisturizers than Luminizers, but I would definitely say they are Tinted Luminizers.

The brand states it can be used on the “highlights” for “targeted radiance” or “all over the face for maximum moisture”. Carrying it everywhere gives you a very high gloss, shiny finish that would probably be “too much” for some (although it is certainly perfect for some). I think it’s cheap compared to other bulbs to be used as highlighter, mixed with moisturizer / primer, or used anywhere, like Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter (which has a thinner consistency and higher amount of pearls) or AURIC Glow Lust (which has a thick consistency, shiny rather than damp).

The consistency was like a light gel cream – not too runny, but not too thick or too heavy, so it spread lightly over the face for full coverage, but on the highlights of the foundation (over bare skin or on) could be tapped on top of the foundation) without a tendency to lift it up.

The cover was almost to half sheer when I tried applying it all over my face as it spread quite well, and I was able to achieve a half sheer buildable cover if I patted it on the highlights of my face with a fingertip. As expected, it was plain when mixed with basic products. However, it is most flexible when used mixed with something, and you should align yourself more closely with the undertone than just the depth for all of its use.

It was worn for eight to nine hours before it looked worn and faded when used on its own or as a standalone highlighter (on cheekbones, bare skin).
