The former Strictly judge is immediately thrown into the deep end and is currently sleeping on the stone floor in Castle Clink Prison while surviving on minimal food.
But insiders have insisted that Arlene didn’t have to endure the grueling conditions of I’m a Celebrity for her career or bank account – and she only does it for the experience.
A source said: “Arlene isn’t an older celebrity ready to make a career comeback or top up her retirement age.
“Still with energy and talent, she is being sought by ITV for other shows, including Dancing On Ice, and will be back next year to work on a number of stage shows at her auditions.”
They added to The Mirror, “She really felt like taking on the challenge of I’m A Celebrity, which is pretty unusual. The performance fee is a nice bonus. “
The publication also states that Arlene owns a £ 4.3m mortgage-free home in London and holds approximately £ 1.2m in private companies.
Arlene previously admitted she turned down I’m A Celeb 10 times before finally signing on the dotted line this year.
She said that she would like to experience new things in her later life and explains, “I want to do a lot of different things before I die. And often there are things that are outside of my comfort zone.
“I’ve done a lot of things that I never thought I could or would do. And who knows what will happen? “

The star rose to fame in the 1970s directing and choreographing British dance troupe Hot Gossip before choreographing West End shows and then judging on Strictly Come Dancing between 2004 and 2008.
