What I like: I’ve literally never finished a full size lipstick in my life, so mini-sets give me the opportunity to try multiple hues in a single formula without so much waste. Sometimes they come in cute packaging that is reusable, like a small can.
What I don’t like: In addition to the risk of breakage or the difficulty of applying cleanly if the projectile is too small, I don’t like sets that don’t have a lot of variety. I think an all red or all nude set is great if you want to try a few options before choosing one of your full size favorites, but I’d really rather go for a set, such as a nude, a red, one berry or mauve or coral and one fancy or statement color. I would also appreciate more sets that have a range of finishes so you can try out multiple formulas from a single brand and see which one suits you best. I would be a lot more open to getting all red or all naked if the set were for example.
