Fenty Beauty Resting Peach Face Cream Blus & Mini Gloss Bomb Duo ($ 25.00 for 0.28 oz.) Includes full size cream blush and miniature size cream lip gloss; both shades are new. Both products performed consistently with their respective formulas, which meant the lip gloss was only mediocre while the blush was nice. I hope we will add the blush to the permanent range in the future!
Peach face is a medium, coral-orange with warmer undertones and hardly any gold pearl. I had the feeling that I could hardly see the pearl in person, although it was more clearly visible in the pattern. The texture was emollient, spreadable, and like a gel-cream, which ensured it would apply well to bare skin as well as complexion products as it did not lift. It had semi-transparent to medium buildable pigmentation as marketed that lasted on me for nine hours before fading a little.

The formula should result in a “fresh shade” that can be “effortlessly” mixed with a “natural-looking” finish. The cover is “transparent, buildable” with a “sweat and water repellent formula”. The brand recommends applying it with your fingertips or the 125mm brush (which is a fairly dense, angled brush).
The opacity was definitely buildable with a tendency towards semi-transparent opacity, but the intensity depended on the method of application. The best way to describe was that when you applied and veneered a layer it often looked like it was “fresh color” when it was marketed, but I would argue that it was more likely to be semi-transparent up were moderately difficult. buildable opacity as real, pure opacity. It could be built up very well with a second or third layer for a more intensive, more opaque coverage. It was also layered nicely so that higher coverage was easy to achieve and still as flattering on the skin as a layer.
Taking a fingertip and swirling it around at least once will give you higher opacity, but it would diffuse a little to a semi-transparent to medium opacity depending on the shade. With a few taps of the finger of a moderately dense, angled brush (as paired with this formula), you could get more semi-transparent to medium coverage in a single layer. A dab brush was most consistent in producing a sheer splash of color, whereas applying it with a fingertip was more of a medium coverage.
That being said, they had the kind of pigmentation that initially appears to be pigmented but tends to stand out in real life, so finger swatches alone are better as a glimpse of potential opacity, but not the opacity of a layer; The hidden swatch is a better indicator of the coverage of the cheeks. I still think they were more pigmented than described, but the formula was very forgiving, so with a lighter hand (ex.
The formula worked fine with both fingertips and brushes, although I preferred fingertips as they really are such a handy and efficient tool for cream-based formulas like this one (and one less brush to wash!). I had no problem applying and spreading the edges of the blush over bare skin or foundation (I paired them with Fentys Pro Filtr which is popular but is also more matte so good for a good test base) like basic products didn’t raise.
The consistency was more like a traditional cream blush; it was emollient and was wet to the touch in the compact mass, and it remained emollient when applied to my skin. It didn’t turn to powder once it came in contact with my skin, but it dried out for the most part. I felt like there were very fine, barely noticeable pearls in most of the shades (some had an obvious sheen) which gave the illusion of numbness because when I touched the last application it seemed dry to the touch but absolutely had this “natural look”. “- read: skin-like – finish advertised.
They wore between eight and nine hours before fading a little, and they seemed to have a nice, even fade beyond that range. They appeared to be water resistant as they didn’t bleed when I ran the swatches underwater, but you could certainly wipe the product off with light rubbing so it wasn’t impervious (resistant means just that, persistent but not impermeable!).

Peach pout is a lighter orange-coral with a cream-colored finish and a subtle sheen. It wasn’t as glossy as a typical gloss, and there is a smoothing effect that occurs with the gloss because it initially seemed glossier. It had medium buildable coverage (as marketed) that was applied without streaking but blended into every possible lip line so it didn’t appear even. The consistency was smooth, not sticky, but on the thicker side so some might find it too thick I guess. It wore well for four hours and felt moisturizing over time.

The formula is said to have a “buildable” coverage ranging from “medium” to “full” with “zero sheen” and a “non-sticky feel”. They had medium to semi-opaque coverage in a single layer that was applied evenly for the most part, although a few shades let light settle into my deeper lip lines.
The consistency was smooth, mostly non-sticky, and like a plush cream, if light, but it was a slightly thicker sheen to the point where adding a full second layer felt heavier and felt like I had a ton of product so I’d rather recommend this for someone who isn’t interested in building coverage beyond a layer.
They carried me about four hours and felt moisturizing over time. The formula has the same sweet, peach scent as the original Gloss Bomb (no noticeable taste to me).
