The officers left with Simpson and requested a search warrant. Trooper Feazel received the search warrant and ransacked the apartment. During the search, local officials found suspected methamphetamine, pill, marijuana and other drug paraphernalia. The youth welfare office was contacted for the 10-year-old woman. Wilson was transported to Fountain County Jail and Simpson to Warren County Jail. After further investigation, Trooper Feazel went to 101 Bradley Court in Williamsport, IN to arrest Jessica Wilson, 38, of Williamsport, for counterfeit use and theft. When the officers reached the apartment, Wilson left the apartment and was taken into custody. While at the apartment, Trooper Feazel learned that Wilson’s 10-year-old daughter and Kurtis Simpson, 36, of Hoopeston, IL, were in the apartment. Simpson had an active warrant in Tippecanoe County. Local officials were given permission to enter the apartment to find Simpson’s and Wilson’s daughter. When the officers entered, they found Wilson’s daughter and escorted her safely from the home. Local officials continued to search the apartment for Simpson and found him in a bedroom allegedly smoking marijuana.

Trooper Feazel received local support from Trooper Millburg, Warren County Sheriff’s Department, Williamsport Police Department, and Indiana Department of Child Services.
