Velvet blush easily
Lisa Eldridge Velvet Blush Lightly True Velvet lipstick color ($ 36.00 for 0.12 oz.) Is a medium dark, warmer pink with a smooth matte finish. The consistency was smooth, velvety, and light, which made it comfortable to glide over my lips, but it wasn’t as forgiving as other shades in terms of lip lines and lip texture. It had mostly opaque, buildable paint coverage that stayed good for four and a half hours and was slightly moisturizing to the touch.

The formula is said to be a “creamy, moisturizing mat with a slight sheen” that is “long-lasting and non-drying”. The three shades introduced so far are very pigmented with a slightly creamy, velvety texture that is thicker (but not difficult!) Or even slippery compared to the Insanely Saturated formula.
The colors applied evenly and smoothly, and were more flattering (less prone to emphasizing lip texture or lip lines) than the average matte lipstick. They carried well between five and seven hours, and they didn’t feel dry or moisturized over time. The formula has no smell or taste.

Velvety intrigue
Lisa Eldridge Velvet Intrigue True Velvet lipstick color ($ 36.00 for 0.12 oz.) Is a soft, medium pinky peach with a soft, matte texture. I found the lipstick a little thinner, a little drier, although it still had a velvety slip that was comfortable to apply, but this resulted in a finish that emphasized the lip texture and lip lines much more than other shades in the formula.
It had a semi-opaque buildable paint cover that felt a little sticky over time. This shade lasted four hours, but it settled noticeably into my lip lines and rather didn’t dry as slightly moisturizing like other shades. In my experience, it’s not uncommon for lighter matte shades to be less forgiving when compared to medium and deeper shades in the same formula, although one obviously wants consistency and high performance across all shades!
