New Delhi: is WhatsApp not available to you? If so, this could be the cause. After months of uncertainty, D-Day has arrived and millions of WhatsApp users are expected to lose support as of today. Your WhatsApp will practically no longer work on their phones. The WhatsApp lock is expected to be implemented against all users with old operating systems who no longer want to support the Messenger app because they demand and consume too many resources, are no longer secure and cannot use the numerous new functions WhatsApp has been rolled out for users .
If your phone doesn’t meet WhatsApp’s standards, you are doomed to fail. The problem isn’t with the phones; they can be perfectly fine; Rather, it is due to the outdated software. However, users can try to update their phones. WhatsApp has set out in a statement what it requires.
It states: “We offer support for and recommend the use of the following devices: Android with OS 4.1 and newer. IPhone with iOS 10 and newer KaiOS 2.5.0 and newer, including JioPhone and JioPhone 2.” WhatsApp won’t work on phones that don’t have this or higher software version.
So, if you have an old phone, the first thing you should do is search the list below to see if it includes your phone’s name. In this case, they need to take action to reclaim their WhatsApp account. You could of course switch to competing messenger programs like Telegram and Signal. However, since most users’ friends, family, and co-workers use WhatsApp – the world’s most popular messenger program with over 2 billion downloads – it may not be easy or practical.
WhatsApp’s deadline is November 1, 2021, i.e. today. So check out the list of phones that no longer support WhatsApp as of today.
