Pat McGrath Lunar Nude Sublime Skin Highlighter ($ 60.00 for 0.42 oz.) Is a medium, golden peach with warmer undertones and subtle micro-twinkles that sometimes flashed blue and purple (though not a true duochrome). The powder highlighter had a smooth, slightly metallic sheen that provided more sheen than visible shimmer / sparkle on the skin, so it didn’t emphasize the natural texture of my skin.

The formula is a gel-powder hybrid, so it feels denser, almost firmer, but it was light, mixable, and “melted” when it was buffed onto my skin. If you are unfamiliar with this type of formula, consider using a denser brush or heavier hand if they tend to be lighter. The brand described it as having an “opalescent sheen” that could be “layer”[ed] for individual intensity. ”

The pigmentation was more opaque, but easy to fade out for a transparent effect, and the luminosity could definitely be built up, as it was more luminous in one layer and more metallic in a second layer. It wore well for nine hours before it visibly faded on my skin.
