LocoNav’s Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) uses AI-powered sensors to warn the driver in real time of possible forward collisions or lane deviations.

LocoNav, a full-stack fleet tech startup, today launched a combination of AI-enabled Advanced Video Telematics and DashCam. The combo is available for over 250 million commercial vehicles at affordable prices, which are up to 30-40% below the prevailing market prices in the startup states. With this combination, LocoNav aims to bring about a radical change in emerging markets, where no more than 30% of the 250 million commercial vehicles use some form of fleet management technology.
With limited or no access to affordable and efficient technology, fleet owners and drivers resort to rudimentary technology, leading to business losses and traffic accidents that put drivers’ lives at risk.
According to the Department of Roads and Highways, there are 415 accidental deaths per day on Indian roads, the highest in the world. Approximately 1.5 lakh people are killed in road accidents and 3.5 lakh are crippled annually. LocoNav aims to improve road safety through the use of its AI-enabled video telematics in conjunction with a range of dashcams.
The startup claims its video telematics are able to prevent accidents and make fleet management companies more efficient by providing data-driven evidence of insurance claims that arise as a result of adverse incidents while the utility vehicle is in motion. It also promotes better driving behavior and alertness.

LocoNav’s Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) uses AI-powered sensors to warn the driver in real time of possible forward collisions or lane deviations. This system also offers live video streaming through a two-channel dashboard camera aimed at both the driver and the road.
Intelligent warnings immediately inform the fleet operator about dangerous events such as heavy braking, excessive speed, distracted driving or sharp turns of the vehicle. Fleet operators and owners can then use this real-world footage to coach drivers on better driving behavior and improve overall fleet safety. In addition, incident videos are also available on the LocoNav platform over a longer period of time, which can be used with evidence of any liability claims in the event of adverse incidents.
By harnessing the power of IoT and AI, we are focusing all of our efforts on this atom so that we can bring the world a global, scalable and disruptive solution that gradually has a positive impact on the lives and livelihoods of everyone in the industry. This has been our driving force since we started operations. Today we serve over 5 million vehicles worldwide with LocoNav products and services, said Shridhar Gupta and Vidit Jain, co-founders of LocoNav.
