ColourPop Teen Spirit Fresh Kiss Lip Crème ($ 8.00 for 0.24 oz.) Is a medium dark pink with subtle cool undertones and an off-white finish. It had a rich drop of color in a single layer that was applied fairly evenly and smoothly to my lips, but it settled a bit into my lip lines – though not really noticeable in person.

The texture was smooth, velvety, and light with an airy quality that made it comfortable to apply and wear. This shade stayed good for four hours and slightly moisturized over time.

Formula overview

$ 8.00 / 0.24 oz. – $ 33.33 per ounce

The formula is said to be a “hybrid” product that has the “color of a lipstick with the care of a lip balm” in a “creamy matt finish”. They described the cover as “buildable”. They have a flexible deer foot applicator with a more rounded side and a more sloping, triangular side (the latter worked well for creating sharper color lines).

The product had a more semi-opaque to opaque coverage in a single puff of the product, although one could certainly only use one side of the applicator product to provide more transparent, more buildable coverage if needed.

The consistency was mousse-like with an airy, velvety-soft handle that was easy to spread on the lips and was comfortable to wear. It wasn’t tacky, but there was a bit of adhesion with no tack, the kind I find is there with more velvety, silicone-heavy formulas like this one.

It has a rather creamy finish that wears off to a soft, matte finish after an hour or two. They do not have complete dehydration, so they are not resistant to transmission or extremely durable. They lasted between four and six hours, with deeper, reddish hues tending to last the longest and leave light stains. They easily moisturized over time. There seemed to be no smell and there was no taste.

They’re much lighter and less “wet” to the touch than the brand’s previous Ultra Satin formula. The Ultra Satin formula adhered better and was very durable, and while it wasn’t transfer-resistant initially, it was more transfer-resistant after an hour or two of wear.

ColourPop Beverly Hills Fresh Kiss Lip Cream ($ 8.00 for 0.24 oz.) Is a darker, peach-colored coral with strong, warm undertones and a cream-colored finish. It had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation with a smooth, light texture that was velvety, smooth, and easy to spread on my lips. A bit of product has built up in my deeper lip lines, which was noticeable after two hours of wear. It lasted a good three and a half hours and was slightly moisturizing when worn.
