Adept Plain Jane, Ninhydrin, Kodanne palette pattern
Skilled cosmetics has three eyeshadow palettes that are currently available for pre-order for the last time (shipping December / January). I don’t know if I’ll have reviews before the pre-order ends, but I wanted to upload photos / swatches before the pallets are finally gone. Plain Jane is showing as sold out even though the pre-order went live yesterday 🙁
A quick overview: The shimmers are very smooth, emollient eyeshadows with minimal fallout, good adhesion and can be applied with a dry brush; The more glittery the shimmer, the better it works with the fingertip for greater coverage and a more even base layer of the product. The mats were disappointing – thinner, drier, harder to blend and had to be built up in coverage.
Each palette has a selection of duochromes and multichromes (and two have matte hues) so you should click / tap on a hue to explore more swatches of color at different angles and in lower light to see the different shifts. The brand has adjusted the hues over time, so my Plain Jane is an earlier version (arrived in April of this year), and the ACI10 and AC12 are different now. Likewise, ACI23 differs in ninhydrin in the pre-order version.
