Chanel Lame Ivory (39) Ombre Premiere Lacquer ($ 36.00 for 0.2 oz.) Is a deep, greyish pewter with subtle, warm undertones and cooler pearls. When applying and shearing, the warmth was more noticeable, while with a higher opacity it looked more silvery-taupe than pewter-colored.

It had opaque paint coverage in a single layer with the included applicator, although in practice I felt it was a light to medium buildable coverage which was in line with marketing as the texture was so thin and watery. The product was also applied in a better layered manner, as the use of the supplied applicator led to a thicker layer for greater coverage, which took a little long to dry and was not so easy to fade out (it was almost too much product, that was initially too wet ). Once the formula dried, it was transfer resistant and stayed well in place for nine and a half hours.

The formula is said to have a “glossy, buildable color” that can be “easily wiped off with the fingertips” or with the “enclosed applicator”. I would argue that most shades were semi-opaque to opaque in a single layer, and the liquid format made them light enough to pull out more of the described “haze” of shimmer. I found them to be used both as stand-alone eyeshadows and to be applied over other products or as a shimmer wash.

The consistency was light, more watery at first, but solidified to a transfer-resistant finish within 10 to 20 seconds. The shimmer in the formula appeared to be finer, so even though it had a sheen and sparkle, it was smoother on my skin and easier to spread and spread for an even result. They lasted over 10 hours without fading, peeling, or wrinkling, but if you mix more moderately with a brush once dry, you risk peeling (not uncommon when something is fully set, but always worth mentioning). .

Steel blade (37)

Chanel steel blade (37) Ombre Premiere lacquer ($ 36.00 for 0.2 oz.) Is a darker champagne gold with warm, golden tones, but not a lopsided orange / peach. It had a smooth, liquid consistency that was slightly watery at first but then dried to a more transfer-resistant surface.

I liked applying it best with a fingertip or a fluffy brush for a paper-thin application of paint. For higher coverage, I would recommend building up the coverage as while it appeared more pigmented with a single “wipe” from the applicator, in reality the formula was slightly cut out (as designed) and the build-up gave a more even result that didn’t work Don’t feel too wet / take too long to dry. Once the formula was set, it lasted a good nine hours.

Purple Blade (35)

Chanel Lame Pourpre (35) ombre premiere lacquer ($ 36.00 for 0.2 oz.) Is a medium dark red with strong, warm orange-copper undertones and a smooth, metallic sheen of finer, lighter red pearls. The more fluid, water-based formula tended to be pushed around with a flatter / firmer brush, whereas a fluffy brush or fingertip either absorbed the product or dried the product a little faster, which made processing easier.

The coverage seemed to be more pigmented at first, but when I started applying it the formula radiated more than it built up so it could actually be built up as marketed – you had to apply a layer, diffuse, and then let it sit before you got one another layer added to actually achieve higher opacity. It lasted for nine and a half hours before I wrinkled.
