Chanel Ombre (608) cheek contrast blush ($ 45.00 for 0.17 oz.) Is a soft, light to medium brown with neutral to cool undertones and a matte finish. There was a grayish tinge when worn heavily, although it appeared rosier when applied semi-transparent to medium.
The texture was silky-smooth, finely ground but not too powdery, and was picked up well with a brush for an even, smooth powder application. It had medium buildable pigmentation as marketed that lasted well for eight hours before fading a little on me.

The Joues Contraste formula is said to have “buildable coverage, from natural to dramatic” with a “flattering charisma” and a “silky texture”. The pigmentation ranges from semi-transparent to completely opaque, depending on the technique and skin tone, but it seemed exactly as described – buildable – without having to pile it up or shear it out for too long. The formula has an extremely smooth, silky consistency that melts wonderfully on the skin. I wear most sunglasses for about eight hours.
The formula is scented of roses, but the scent was largely imperceptible (but noticeable in the compact form).
