MAC tarnished reputation lipstick ($ 21.00 for 0.1 oz.) Is a muted, medium-dark orange with warmer undertones and a semi-matte finish. It was richly pigmented with a smooth, slightly creamy texture that was lighter but a little tighter to the touch than it initially went on. The paint was applied evenly and lasted a good five hours while the formula didn’t feel dry to the touch.

Some of the original matte paints have a stiffer, drier formula, while newer ones have a velvety silicone feel, and the latter are creamier, more comfortable to wear, and easier to apply, but most matte paints are fairly pigmented and long-lasting, although some dry.
The Amplified and Satin finishes usually have good pigmentation, a slightly creamy to moderately creamy consistency with a bit of sheen, and a moderate to long shelf life with deeper, richer hues that are worn longer. The frost and metallic finishes show the greatest variance between the colors with an opacity from semi-transparent to opaque with average wear and tear and non-drying to slightly drying formulas. All MAC lipsticks smell of vanilla, but have no discernible taste.

MAC Bittersweetie lipstick ($ 21.00 for 0.1 oz.) Is a light, medium pinky red with strong, blue undertones and a natural sheen. It had an almost opaque paint release that was applied evenly to my lips and didn’t emphasize my lip lines.
The texture was slightly creamy, light and neither too thin nor too thick, so it was comfortable to wear and apply. It carried well for six hours, staining, and feeling slightly moisturizing over time.
