ColourPop Magic Moon Super Shock Cheek ($ 8.00 for 0.15 oz.) Is a light-medium, rose-colored coral with a silky sheen. It had smoother, finer pearls throughout, which gave it a shiny finish on the skin but didn’t shimmer as noticeably as most of the shades in the formula.
It had opaque pigmentation when applied with a fingertip and medium buildable coverage when applied with a synthetic brush, just as the formula is marketed. The texture was slightly damp to the touch, pliable and light – it had a clay-like feel that could be squeezed with a fingertip and then turned powdery on the skin. The blush is easy to apply to bare skin and over the foundation because it was applied evenly and blended well. It lasted a good nine and a half hours before it visibly faded on me.

Formula overview

The formula is said to have “buildable” opacity and can be applied with fingertips (which gives “higher opacity”) or a brush (for pure opacity). It’s a cream-based product that is subtly “wet” to the touch, but never the thickness of a real cream-based blush. It continues with the suppleness of a cream formulation but diffuses and blends (without lifting the base) more like a powder product. The product solidifies to a powder finish so that the product does not slip during the day. For me, the wear and tear tends to be between eight and 10 hours. Most shades have medium buildable pigmentation, with some occasionally being semi-opaque to opaque. They’re usually mixable, easy to use, and durable.
