BLUE singer Lee Ryan said he had “no money” to pay a £ 1,500 fine for speeding while being beaten with his THIRD driving ban.

Former boy band heartthrob 38 clashed with judges when they found him guilty of failing to tell cops who was driving his white Mercedes 4X4 when it was tapped twice by speed cameras last year.

When the judges sentenced Ryan, who wore a white open collar shirt and crossed his arms, he told them, “I have nothing”.

The All Rise singer appeared over a long distance from his home in Spain on Thursday before Peterborough Magistrates’ Court, where he was banned from driving for 12 months and fined £ 660.

The star responded that he was “currently unemployed due to Covid” after being sentenced to pay a total of £ 1,501 including legal fees.

Ryan, whose boy band sold more than 14 million records worldwide in the early 2000s, added, “I don’t have that money.

“I just don’t have any money. I do not work.

“They stopped the gigs so I don’t have any. They stopped everything because of the pandemic.”

A judge replied, “Well, they [gigs] are [on] in this country.”

Ryan replied, “Well, I have nothing.”

When asked if he had any savings, Ryan told the judges that he had “spent all of my savings on Covid.”

He moved to Spain with his girlfriend Verity Morely, 31, last November.

According to court records, he was accused on Aug.

However, these charges were dismissed as prosecutors failed to provide evidence as there was no way to prove who was behind the wheel.

Ryan has been tried on two counts for failing to provide driver identification information when necessary and has been found guilty by the judges.

The singer, who insisted on sending the required information, was told he could be taken back to court and sent to jail if the money is not paid.

Ryan told the court that his girlfriend Verity Morley had used his vehicle “because she was driving around the country with her job in the car”.

He added, “I gave her my car because I thought it was safer than her own.”

He also said Verity was responsible for the two speeding violations and received points for them on her driver’s license after informing authorities.

DETAILS ‘ACCESSED’

However, prosecutors argued that Ryan was referring to a separate speeding offense on September 5th and that the August offenses were not considered.

A frustrated Ryan told the court he didn’t know he was going to appear in court until he read about the charges on tabloids.

Justice President Alison Marsh said it was accepted that Ryan owned a Mercedes in August and September last year and that he did not notify the DVLA of any change of address in 2020.

She said: “It is controversial that you did

“The defendant has agreed that he has not informed the DVLA of his legally required change of address in 2020.

“We have a feeling that he was Verity’s driving too fast in his car on August 5th 22nd, 20 as required by law.”

We therefore find you guilty.

She said she accepted that it may not have been “an act of intent” but noted that the legal requirement that the DVLA have a correct and up-to-date address for you applies to everyone.

“We therefore find you guilty,” she added.

Ms. Marsh gave Ryan two lots of six points against his driver’s license, resulting in a twelve-month driving ban.

Ryan said, “I was taken to court for speeding that had already been awarded points to someone else [his girlfriend Verity].

“Where is the justice there? Was there a mishap or something that went wrong?

“I promise you, I’ve posted it in my life because if I didn’t, she wouldn’t have the points on her license.”

Aside from being banned from driving for 12 months, Ryan was also asked to return his driver’s license to the UK.

SPEEDING STAR

He was told that the fine must be paid within 12 months and that it can be paid in installments.

The celebrity go dating star was banned from driving for six months last August after being caught speeding twice.

The singer was first caught traveling 85 mph in a Mercedes on the M1 motorway near Sheffield in May 2019.

It was then measured less than 12 weeks later in a 50 mile zone in Eltham, south London, at a speed of 58 mph.

Ryan was previously banned from behind the wheel for two years in 2014 after driving a friend’s Audi erratically in the early hours of the morning.

His third ban comes days after the proud father shared a first picture with his young daughter after becoming a father for the third time.

Ryan was enjoying a family outing in Marbella with girlfriend Verity Paris and his fellow daughter Bluebell, whom he shares with ex-girlfriend Jessica Keevil.

He titled the cute family photo: “Lunch with my girls”

The Blue singer also had son Rayn (12) in 2008 with former fiancé Samantha Miller.
