Tesla Inc said Friday that Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk’s total compensation for 2020 was zero, compared to $ 23,760 in 2019.
The electric automaker also said in a regulatory filing that Chief Financial Officer Zachary Kirkhorn’s total compensation was $ 46.6 million, up from $ 21.2 million in 2019.
Musk, who is also the major shareholder and CEO of rocket maker SpaceX, has a salary package that requires Tesla’s market capitalization and financial growth to hit a number of rising targets.
By April, Musk had qualified for Tesla options in his 2018 salary package, which are now valued at over $ 30 billion.
Tesla added “Technoking of Tesla” in a government filing in March to Musk’s list of official titles, which Kirkhorn also referred to as “Master of Coin”.
Earlier this month, Reuters reported that Musk will also be the subject of a biography of Walter Isaacson, the US author who wrote a bestseller about Apple co-founder Steve Jobs.
