After a brief hiatus, Tatatiago NRG is ready to return to the Indian market today. We’re a bit away from the launch of the Tatatiago NRG Facelift in 2021. This means a resurgence of the harder Tiago. Tata first announced the “NRG” version of the entry-level hatchback in 2018, unveiling a crossover-themed Tiago for those looking to own a more SUV-like car. Of course, the facelift will be the same as the NRG with the Tiago facelift that hit the market in early 2020.
With the midlife update, the Tata Tiago NRG has the same grille (with three arrow motifs) and the same bumpers as a standard hatchback. However, it also features a fake 3-slot skid plate on the front, heavy body trim wrapped around the lower half of the car, and chunky roof rails and steel rims that look like aluminum. The Tiago NRG facelift will only be available in a fully equipped top-spec variant with the same 1.2-liter gasoline engine as the standard Tiago and a 5-speed manual transmission and AMT options.
